Panama

Panama: Panama, Columbus’ final destination when he was exploring parts of Central America and the Caribbean, actually only Hispaniola and Jamaica. Columbus was  in Jamaica and stayed their for a brief period of time before he decided to leave to the Bay Islands, which is located off the coast of Honduras. It was here where Bartolomeo found a cano described as “as long as a galley,” the canoe was filled with cargo that came from an island nearby which was used by natives. On August 14 Columbus landed on American mainland Puerto Castilla which is located near Trujillo, Honduras. He then spent 2 months exploring the coasts of Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica before reaching his final destination Almirante Bay in Panama on October the 16th.
