Cayman Islands: During a reckless exploration Columbus spotted the Cayman Islands after seeing how many see turtles where there and named Las Tortugas. He had spotted the Cayman Islands after he’s dreadful; journey where he lost one ship in the mouth of the Rio Belen. He had gone through this straight because of the advice the natives had given him from the other island he was on. But, luckily Columbus made it through the strait or river even though there was a great storm which greatly damaged the ship as well as the shipworms that only appear in tropical waters. After he spotted the Cayman Islands he then moved onto Cuba and then to Jamaica.
